64, introduced to Strat in 2000 when I joined a face to face league and still in that league. Started with the old TSN site for Strat football and baseball in 2003 or thereabouts.

I am 61. My first set was 1970. Also have 1974 and 1981 card sets. Started playing with FantaSim before Strat moved over. I have several computer discs and the career discs which I use to create all-time leagues. Nothing like Christy Mathewson pitching to Albert Pujols. I have a 14-team career league with a 156-game schedule I'm playing manually. Five-man rotations, 28-player rosters (12 pitchers). Needless to say, I'm retired.

52. My only stint with the board game was hockey in the mid 80s (was a Flyers fan - had some great battles with Gretzky and Co.). Picked it up again with baseball online in 2009 (when it was with TSN) and have been playing ever since.

DAPPLEG

you must be one of the youngest online. I knew a school teacher who was teaching kids STRAT baseball as part of math class. not too many young people playing because they dont play board games and video games are amazing nowadays

I'm 44. Started playing face to face at 14 in the early 90's. Couple of High school buddies introduced me to the game. I remember my expansion team was : Frank Thomas, Andy Van Slyke, Don Slaught, Brady Anderson and Curt Schilling. I stop playing and following baseball when our Expos were about to be moved. And then, I discovered the online game in 2009. Never stopped playing ever since.

I'm 68. I bought an 8-team set in 1965 of the 1964 season, then bought the entire 20-team set for the 1965 season. A couple years later I discovered The Sporting News and all its baseball stats and tried making my own "Strat cards" for the 1967 season. Without computers it was way too much work in those days! I've been playing the online game off and on since 2013, mostly the Player's Championship and occasional forays into open leagues.

Age 50 playing for 38 years

PostThu Feb 18, 2021 10:15 pm

Received the 1978 set as a hand me down and started playing with friends in earnest age 12. Played in two face to face leagues until marriage and kids :)

Played a few seasons online, but prefer the F2F version. We mainly played online last year using diceroller and skype. Worked fine, but in person is best.

Cheers,
Paul
