Dual Franchise League Season 34

This will be the 34th season of the dual franchise league. We will be using the new ATG9 cards recently released; within those cards are a subset that Stratomatic created at BDWards request entitled Post WWII . The set can be found when you create a team and there is an option just under the ATG9 set. Salary cap is 135 million, 5% DROP; we WILL be using a designated hitter, no waivers. You MUST have a players card on one of your franchises in order to use him on your roster, unless you acquire a player via trade.

Each manager must pick 1 team from each column below. . A manager has exclusive rights to players on his roster; if a player is on more than one roster, he belongs to the team where his salary is highest. We are using a serpentine draft, so each manager picks one team first and then we reverse the order. List of teams will be posted below. Please sign up using the cut and paste method. Official draft order will follow. ***** One other franchise change this season; the Orioles will be moved back into the original list while the Phillies will be moved into the expansion list( they have not been chosen in the past 3 seasons).*******
Each team will be allowed ONE Trade only. (Multi player deals will be allowed). However ALL trades must occur after your team has been created. This will allow all of us to follow the various trades. You can agree to a trade while the draft is still going on, but you must draft the player you have rights to and then trade him after the team rosters are created by Strat.

One other change for this season ; divisions will be filled by random assignments and not by record.

I had intended to start the draft this Saturday to give you guys a few days to prepare; however Falcon has made his pick and that's fine. If you guys wish to continue that's okay....but if anyone has a problem just let us know, no real hurry here on my end anyhow.

It doesnt appear any records were even close to being broken last year; I have not kept track of team homeruns, but Hackra's Giants/Marlins hit an incredible 499 ! I am guessing that is the highest by any one team; I did check the highest ever team for runs scored( Giants/Whitesox) in season 11 and they hit 496 taters.

Some odd stats from last year; Bob Gibson led the league in losses, runs , hits and homers allowed....wow!

Good to see a new face; Don Slaught won the batting title !

And the immortal Jason Bartlett with a batting avg .216 and 6 homers was third in the league in intentional walks! Which begs the question who was hitting behind him in the lineup?

Don Slaught was my biggest pleasures this year (although the Big Hurt had 60 HR’s) (and Doc kicking ass from a hospital bed)
His card is .345/384/482
He had to cover both sides and against LHSP 130AB .254/.297/.308
On the RHSP side he was around .400 most of the season , but ended .365/.394/.545
Final totals .340/.372/.492

I forgot to mention one aspect of Slaught, his injury number is 2, But fortunately that wasn’t an issue, he missed one game.
