I enjoy the recaps JJB, even though I've had a front-row seat for all the action.

Congrats to Drabb on his Beasts' championship. At least I lost to the eventual champs.

My fatal flaw - with a huge lead down the stretch, I rested several players I thought were vulnerable to injuries. I did not sit my best hitter, Pedro Guerrero, and sure enough in the last series he went down with an 8-game injury. After his 62-HR / 1127 OPS season, he didn't see a single pitch in the playoffs. Lesson learned.

Looking forward to the 2000s version. These have been fun leagues and people should sign up when the league is posted.

Ahoy,

I will review the 12 pages of response on the blog - but at a summary level - Pitchers better than Hitters or vice versa?

In the 80s, the hitters won 60% of the head to head games. Two hitting teams won over 100 games and another hitting team won the championship.
