Strategy for very high offense parks

Experienced players tell me that you can build a strategy to win in almost any park. I can see how to do so in parks strongly favoring RH or LH, and some folks on this message board taught me how to use a very low offense park - and I won my only championship using Petco.

I'm thinking of using a really high offense park like Catholic Prep Oval (18/16/19/18) or Fulton County (13/13/20/20). What is a good strategy to give my team an advantage in parks like that?

Hit more HRs than the other teams. I know it sounds simple and silly, but if you are going for a HR park like those above, you better have a HR hitter at every position.

So should I spend more money on hitters and go with mediocre pitchers because no matter who is out there is going to get blasted?

Do your best to stay away from pitchers that have BPHR* on there cards. You can give up hits just try and stay away from HR rolls. You can find them cheap.

Have a deep pen.

AVOID R1 guys.

Like it's been said above, find guys with 4 BPHR's* on their cards.
ie. George Foster. He has 4 BPHR's AND 3 BP Singles each way.

You didnt say the cap. That makes a big difference. Assuming 80 mill. On offense power and on-base. You want some really high on-base guys and of course a lot of power. Pitchers should have 0 bp hrs. And a deep pen. The real question is the dollar distribution between offense and pitching. I think relatively cheap starters backed by a deep pen. Maybe 50-55 million on offense. Just outscore people. The question is always: what gives your team an advantage over visiting teams? And what pays off from investment dollars-pitching, hitting or fielding? A park like that I think you want to pour money into the offensive side. To be honest , I havent had a lot of success in those parks, but if I were to construct a team now thats how I would do it.

Where do you see the BPHR's and BP Singles on the cards? I looked at all of Foster's cards and didn't see it anywhere.

#HOMERUN or #FB(lf)b are ball park homerun rolls. It will depend on the Park. It ranges from 1 to 20. Hal will draw a card to see if it is hit or an out. The $SINGLE is the single roll. Look for the # and the $ to the left on the left.

It is the same on the Pitchers card. The @ on the Pitchers card means the Pitcher is fatigued and that results in a Single.
