Gotta give credit where it's due I guess. Strat did step up and give me my two credits after I proved that I did have a stolen credit card number.

According to the email I got, they've had a lot of unsubstantiated requests for credits, so I guess I can understand where they're coming from, at least to some extent.

What's unsubstantiated? Meaning it occurred outside of their window? They shouldnt be giving people a hard time if they purchased in December or even November. It's friggin' like $30. And what's a lot? 10, 20...100? Theyre being penny-wise, pound foolish. They should care a lot more about giving deserving customers a hard time for $30 then someone getting a couple of freebies.

They alluded to the fact that a good number of people have claimed to have been hacked even though they perhaps had not, simply trying to score a couple of freebies.

The guys whose security was not good enough to prevent customers from being hacked..are then very confident that they are certain that they know exactly when the hack occurred, that it could not have been earlier or that there wasnt more than one hack. Then they assume that anyone complaining about a hack outside of their time period is trying to take advantage of them. But their assumption that they were only hacked starting January 5 is clearly wrong...

Agree with that. I got a fraud notification about my card and then about 2 weeks later saw all the banter on the boards about cards getting compromised and put two and two together.

I was not happy they insisted on proof of my card being compromised, but I guess I understand it. They truly are not very customercentric in their approach.
