Alternate Names/Accounts

PostMon Mar 22, 2021 5:57 pm

Ive noted in the past few months a number of 'new' managers who are clearly not new playing under new names.

Anyone else notice this proliferation and any possible explanations for why?

That doesn't surprise me. As you know very well that some veteran owners draft habits are consistent from league to league. Some other veteran owners get to know what draft picks (auto or live) that some owners likes to make and change their draft ranking to prevent that other owner from getting some players they draft from habit. Some owners realize this and create a new owner name hoping to disguise who they are and keep their drafting habits.

Your logic as to why they do it makes a lot of sense.
Ive just been seeing an awful lot of it lately.

They give you a perk for a new account too. It was first 2 teams for $15, I don't know what it is now.

I've noticed a few new ones too that seem more proficient then their level of experience.

Either that or you're just getting rekt by a bunch of noobs. 8-)

How can you tell they are "clearly" not new? Because their winning % is too high? I'd never played 365 before a few months ago but I have a .572 w% through my first 11 teams.

First...no, but sometimes people are so vain they think this post was about them, rather than a bunch of people- as in 20 or so. :D
there are certain players a newer manager wouldn't know to use over others that some of the vets avoid bc of experience, and the opposite as well.

While its a pretty amazing accomplishment, I can pretty much guarantee you that winning percentage will be coming down a fair bit if you play more high cap leagues. Thats not meant to be an insult, its just the reality of playing high cap strat- and if Im wrong then Ill be just as happy to learn from what you are doing differently.

A safe prediction, considering there isn't much room for it to go up 8-)

Curious as to why you think playing in high cap leagues would be tougher for Austin. Do the better players play more often in high cap leagues?

I believe that with higher caps, more studs can be involved in the games. More studs = more unpredictability. The better managers will probably still win more, but the results just seem to me to be a little more jumbled up because of the talent involved.

Just an opinion
