I found his Facebook. Not a lot there. But probably not a lot of James Zimmer's who like Strat-o-Matic. I sent a message. Will let you know if I get anything back.

Not sure if its the same James we are looking for, but there is an obituary of a James Zimmer from Dorchester, who passed on April 4th.

James M Zimmer is the Zimmer who plays strat here and is from the Boston area....
his facebook page indicates he was in the army as does the obit from Dorchester.
I am in two leagues with him and he last posted April 1...
the coincidences continue to mount....

If James has passed it might be okay to talk about him. Better than okay actually. I think it's necessary for me.

James could be quite a challenge for a Commissioner. Especially a beginner like myself. He seemed so child-like in everything he did. Innocence. He seemed to personify it. He never failed to ask a new league how many players was he allowed to play in a given league. You could count on that every season regardless of how many times he'd been told in previous seasons. At the time I wanted to strangle him because of it. Now...now I love him for it. I wish I could read it again! And I can't stop weeping. I just hope innocent sweet James is happy wherever he may be.

I'll happily deal with the repercussions of my possibly skewed interpretations of James if it means he's alive.

I hope it’s not him too, although it’s not looking good.
It’s a sad realization that many of us have been playing in these leagues together for so long that something like this would eventually happen.
