All they have to do to fix the problem is to not open the league mail section until after the draft. Simple and fixes the problem. I told support 365 this in August.

Interesting loophole but I agree with the folks questioning whether an advantage can truly be gained from it. I can't think of any adjustments I'd make to my pre-draft strategy from knowing parks beforehand. But I'm new so there may be something I'm not considering.

As I said earlier, it does make me wonder why some yahoos join a league and are not readied for the draft for a couple/few days--or longer.
Nothing Moose can do about it, but there is no reason for it except the aforementioned chicanery. So hopefully it gets fixed pronto and these quasi-hostage situations will probably be less prevalent.

If not ready, let someone else in who is. That's why we asked Moose to over-invite to each league.

They shouldnt even have "ready for the draft". If you want to modify your team, you take the chance someone will swoop in to take your place, just like in an ordinary league. End of problem.

True. In league 14 case, it includes peeps who were in well before me.
If not readied in a couple hours, I am going to unready my team and consider a redo the entire draft list and stadium.

Here is one thing that a lot of you either don't know or don't consider. INVITES will send a link to a player to use an existing team or to BUY a team. Regardless of which situation is yours, even a team you already have which is not 100% ready will use the INVITE to enter the league. This could mean teams with NO PLAYERS or not all players yet chosen on the draft card.

So all that time that you spend carefully picking your draft card, ranking them and selecting a stadium CAN BE DONE while joined to the league. Basically while you are NOT READY FOR THE DRAFT. I think this is designed to RESERVE YOUR SPOT in the league while you do that prep.

And lastly, Barnstormers but it's very nature brings in a lot of new players every year. They are not as interested in it as the majority of you are. You should see all the questions I get on how it all works.

We simply have to have more patience here and at minimum know that I am actively monitoring all leagues and squeezing those who have not marked themselves as ready. A lot of times I tell them and I get back the "yeah I am working on it !"

Is it still that way? I tried clicking on a bunch of stuff, and didn't see anything unusual.

You have to mark your team as NOT READY FOR THE DRAFT - then all draft center options are available.

Hi Moose,
It isn't a tour issue or concern over league fill time at all. But with the whole cheat situation, there is no way to distinguish honest delay from cheating your league mates.

Rick,

A question from a not quite newbie. Are we allowed, per tour rules, to unready a team in an invited event league, that we have listed as ready, to make last minute changes? Prior to the initiation of the invite function the tour rule was that once we entered a team in a league we could not take it out. This seems to be roughly analogous to the ready for the draft issue but I don't know if this has been explicitly clarified for the tour rules.

Thanks for your remarkably prompt replies to my prior recent communications. It is much appreciated!

Not quite a newbie
