as long as it happens in the near future it shouldn't matter...the only danger is prospects get hurt or called up etc.
so near future is important for fairness issues.

For the future, how about requiring everyone to submit a ranked list of MLB franchises for the second round of picks in the prospect draft and then have an established deadline by which the individual players have to be named? Just a thought, since managing my current roster does not require much of my time or imagination

As an addendum to my previous musings on the prospect draft, we could institute an autopick rule for round 2. For example, if a manager failed to meet the round two selection deadline then his team would receive by default the top 3 ranked minor league prospects of the MLB franchise in question (say according to mlb.com) that had not been previously claimed by the other franchises in our league.
