You're clearly going to get 12, but, I think these themes are much more compelling and competitive with a much smaller salary cap ($120 - 130M) and a more restrictive free agency to retain franchise flavor. There are other ways to minimize, but, still include Yanks, Red Sox, and NEL.

There aren't enough other franchises with an even distribution of $9 - 10+ million players and semi-wide-open free agency just makes it a typical all star league somewhat based on who 'guesses' the best sequence of free agent picks and jumps on the open market after free agency ends. Night owls, fast clickers, and experienced managers have distinct advantages.

These are just my opinions and observations....
