Congratulations to all of our playoff teams. The first season in a retro keeper league is always pretty wild, because of all of the different draft strategies -- and this one was no exception.

Some managers draft for the long-term only and have terrible W/L records. Others pick up a bunch of short-term stars, have huge salary totals, and aim to win big early on, while suffering later. Most are somewhere in between.

As expected, the 5 teams with the top salary totals made it to the playoffs, although only 1 (dharmabums) had more wins per salary dollar than the league average (+2%).

The other 3 playoff teams (including mine) all out-performed on that scale, with anywhere from 5% to 10% more wins per salary dollar than the league average. We're still likely to get crushed in the playoffs, but it's still nice to know that we did something right.

So anyhow, congrats to dharmabums and go4joe on spectacular win totals -- even though it would have been disappointing to see much less than that. And congrats to fixmedinner and Jerm12 (and me) for joining the elite 8 on more pedestrian salary totals.
