Ugh. Lost three close games to the Hoggers to fall out of first. Game 2 in extras after a BS in the 9th.

Now we play Splinter who we're 1-5 against.

Going cold at the wrong time. Losing locastro (again), at least only for three games, isn't helping. Will miss the first one in our big series with the Hoggers. Guess he's missing Turner for the first two games so...

Anyway, Not likely we'll get the tie breaker with him so, this series is HUGE.

All the divisional races are close. My team is puttering along, hopefully have done enough to get the wildcard. Giants and Hoggers slugging it out in the Central tonight...

Well, lost 2 to the hoggers tongiht. I think we're toast 2 back and he has the tie breaker. Gotta say we can't beat him often enough to make this work. That's the difference in the season. We're 8-13 against him. Will have to sweep to do that and that's not very likely. It's at our place, but we've gone 3-6 so far at home. Oh well.

Lost 2 again to the hoggers, one in extras after Yady Molina hits a 2 out single v a rhp to tie it. Lose in extras on a 1-7 HR. We left 13 on in the game to six.

This team wasn't meant to be I guess. Gotta go like 8-1 to have a chance. Oh well.

I was looking at my head-to-head records and noticed something very unusual: the Slugs are 35-16 vs teams over .500 and 52-53 against teams .500 are below. Against likely play-off teams: 14-7 vs. the Duffers; 6-3 vs the Hoggers and 10-2 against The Splinter.

The Giants' play-off hopes were likely done in by a 9-15 play-off record against the Hoggers...
