Reverse lefties are very helpful when mixed with specialists I find because of how the pricing is--just as lefty killers are underpriced, right handers with L ratings seem to get good mileage.

Oh absolutely. Have to make a value judgement based on usage. If those two teams are in my division, easy.
If not, maybe.
But if in my division i may go with more robust reversos.
If limited opportunities, maybe guys like I said who are less than about 1M. Not a big investment to make. Few times, I have even done three or four of the options: hard righty, hard lefty, reverse lefty, reverse righty.
Then I have flexibility, and you can keep it economical by making then S/R types. Still need the pure R's but it all depends.
And if a platoon team is done right, it can be a very high likelihood for a playoff spot. So I consider the investment worthwhile in those cases.

Like rich/goffchile said, some of those guys are very good values, especially when they won't see much on their weak side.

Speaking of stupid questions - I've got something I've been curious about for a long time.

Usually I will draft a team, set up the lineups and make changes respective to my division mates, etc., and then let them run. I usually don't make changes once I've got the team set up, and live or die by my preseason actions.

So...how many of you make daily changes, match pitchers to lineups, adjust bullpen settings on a regular basis during the season. Does it make much difference in the grand scheme of things?

I will occasionally have a SP platoon when I go with non* SPs and will key starters to opponents.

It depends. For example, if I have a Tekulve and/or a Linzy and I'm headed into a righty park/team, I will change their settings to slow hook, and maybe remove the Lefty avoids.

Does it make much difference in the grand scheme of things?
YMMV...but I wouldn't do it if it didn't at least make a difference sometimes. I will also change baserunning, stealing etc but it depends. If I have a team where everyone runs well, then nothing changes. But if I have a mixed bagI've been setting at Normal or Aggressive, but my opponent has weak arms, I may bump it up. Same for stealing--especially if they have a catcher with a lot of throwing error chances.
Then again, I will sometimes forget to make the changes...so I go through phases of hands-on and hands-off teams.
