2021 Mystery Tournament - Final 12 Voting

The battle for these two finals slots has been intense. Depending on the outcome of 1 game I could finish anywhere from 13th to 7th. I have got a pretty bad feeling about tonight. The strat gods seem to be getting me back for my incredible playoff luck last year (I made the playoffs 4 times and won 4 championships). Before winning the semis in the 00's this round, I had made the playoffs in 6 straight leagues and promptly lost in the first round of the playoffs in each of them. Those teams averaged 96 wins. That is some 1990s Braves level playoff futility.

Like Pushpin, I'm not feeling terribly confident about my chances tonight. Amazingly, for my team, this is Bonds 8th injury of the season and 2nd of the playoffs. On top of that, I lost my left handed assassin Eduard Perez with Jamie Moyer pitching against me tonight. And just for good measure, HAL knocked out Marlon Byrd for game 7 as well. When it rains it pours.

The semi final round has been pretty intense. I think it adds an extra layer of intrigue to the tournament and I always find it enjoyable to pit the best players against each other to earn those final spots in the Finals round.

Good luck to everyone the rest of the way, I"m sure the Finals League is going to be intriguing to watch unfold.

What is a "pick 3 winner"? I think we may need it for a tie-break.

I think you pick 3 numbers for a pick 3 lottery and the closest wins. I don't know which state.

pushpin - you're up at bat. We haven't heard from the Commish, but in the past when there has been a tie, we have had a revote on the tied questions. In the case of a tie for decades, that seems straightforward because it would be a different vote based on just two choices. If we have a tie on unique stadiums, someone will need to change their mind to get a different result in the revote. The live draft does allow for drafting stadiums so it is technically possible to include in a live draft.

OK, so there are two things we need to determine. One is how to break the tie for 8th, because ranking will determine draft position. I've asked support what they meant by "Pick 3 winner" - if I don't hear back soon we'll come up with some other way to determine the "coin flip". Second thing to determine is the length of time for the draft picks. In the live draft feature on the main 365 site, here are the choices for draft pick length:

1. 30 secs
2. 45 secs
3. 60 secs
4. 90 secs
5. 120 secs
6. 150 secs
7. 1 hour
8. 2 hours
9. 3 hours
10. no clock

Please everybody reply with your top 3 choices of the 10 options above. Your top choice will get 3 points, 2nd choice 2 points, 3rd choice 1 point. If the winner is 150 seconds or less, we will agree on a day / time to do the draft when (hopefully) everyone is available (although you can set up lists/queues if you are not available).

Note: If a Draft is set for 1-hour or longer pick times, there are additional options available enabling you to customize when the clock is turned off, like overnight for example, since there is the expectation that the Draft would take place over multiple days. The "no clock" option basically means there is no time limit so it becomes like a manual Discussion Forum draft, but that would be very time consuming for a 25 round draft.
