I would like to request a new card for ATG. Louis Sockalexis. He was not only the first Native American to play professional baseball but also the first minority and he was good.
You should go over to the atg card addition forum and nominate his 1897 card (the only year with enough PAs to qualify for the vote). The nomination process is in full swing...some great cards already up for consideration.
His cousin, Andrew Sockalexis, was a world class long distance runner who represented the U.S. in the 1912 Olympics in Sweden. He finished fourth in the marathon, just seconds shy of a medal. He ran the Boston Marathon twice, finishing second both times. A footnote on the Sockalexis family history!
