My understanding is that it's full speed ahead and Chilliards will check in later. We are at risk of not starting season 2 until really late in the year, or to giving folks an undue advantage if we incur further delays while players rack up real life stats.

In my opinion if we don't wait for chilliards he will be the only one with the undue advantage you're talking about and will have the much greater advantage of signing players with no competition. If it was a draft and he wanted to get skipped till the end when all the good players were gone that would be different. But in this format if I was given the opportunity to wait till the end when everyone else was done I would do it in a heartbeat. I'm not putting anyone else up till we hear when chillirds is going to put his first 2 noms up.
I don't agree with filling from the waiver wire. That allows him to get a longer look at mlb actual games and then pick guys with no free agent competition and sign them to minimum deals.
That just doesn't seem right. If he can't do the free agency his alternative should be that he gets his dropped players back and we move on.
Guys on the waiver wires already have their contracts in place and those contracts must be honored if you take those players. The vast majority are free agents after 2020 and you have no opportunity to sign them to new contracts. That's my understanding of it and if I'm right on this it seems weird that chilliards is ok with it but I guess that's what he's agreed to.
ok. if that is what phil meant...chilliards picking from the waiver wire...and not from the remaining pool of free agents....then I get that. thanks randy.
