Dave Parker and Don Mattingly were my 2 .

.. any names from the '79 Pirates or '84 Tigers Championship teams also hold a special spot as well !

.. i have a rules clarification question that maybe one of you more experienced players can give an answer to :

In terms of "Ballpark Singles" .. does a players speed have any effect at all on the outcome of those ?? .. or does it not matter at all if the batter is Vince Coleman versus say Steve Balboni ? ..

.. from reading the rule on it, seems to me it is STRICTLY a roll on the Ballpark itself, with no other influencing factor .. is that correct ? ..

Rules questions like that you can/should ask as its own topic. There are lots of strat experts not in this league who know that stuff. There are a bunch of "expert" rules that I believe are applied in this game that arent necessarlilly in the "game rules" tab for this game.

.. yeah, i don't "think" so either .. but have always kinda wondered if there were ANY other influences on that other than simply the Ballpark roll .. it sure seems to me than a players speed maybe "should or could" have a factor, even if small ..

I don’t think it affects the ability to get a single. That’s already factored into the hitters card. The ballpark singles has to do with the ballpark effect only. Base speed is when you have a contested situation we’re trying to take an extra base.
