I would prefer one rule change, which is to eliminate the draft pick trade exception for the initial franchise draft. I think "no trading draft picks" not only lessens confusion in a keeper league, it also protects against those rare managers who trade all their picks for stars, win, and then quit the league, leaving a team with aging players and no picks.
Why not just say "no trading picks at all" including the initial draft?

Hey Don, I agree on the "rare managers" comment -- saw that happen a couple of times recently.
I'd be willing to go either way on the draft pick question. I was just thinking that some folks like to trade up during a draft; e.g., trade 2nd & 3rd picks for another team's 1st & 6th

Thanks for that, to Carolina Blue. However, I've never owned 2 teams in the same draft before, so that might be interesting.
In another question, I'm curious about the salary cap. I believe it will help make the league more competitive, but wonder if the cap should be lower, to make it even more competitive?
