I assume this is a snake draft? I’m picking 11th and 14th etc?

Will the auto draft phase know who is not eligible or are we likely to get replacement players who are ineligible? Then what?

1)Snake

2)NO. Page 1 and 2 of this thread, you will see who are eligible for the autodraft + all the 1M or less taken in the draft.

3)All the players that are not eligible to be draft will have to be waived. First card 1992 and +.

One question - sorry if I missed this somewhere - what will the roster drop penalties be during the season?

Rate of drafting seems to be picking up some... looking forward to seeing how these rosters shape up and play out!

We haven't talk about it. 5%/10%/20%. + The first 3 or 4 seasons there won't be many good hitters or pitchers available...

I also think that some teams will not get to the 80 M the first 2-3 seasons!

Think we should stick with the standard. As you say, money shouldnt be an ssue anyway, but, I think, we should make it a little difficult for the teams wit hthe expensive players to have a little trouble drop/adding.

Yes. Standard. 5/10/20. But again, I don't expect many dropped with no free agents available...

Standard makes sense, that's what I figured. Thanks!

I have updated the list for hitters (bottom page 1) and pitchers (top page 2), in this thread. All players in RED have been drafted.

Don't forget a player’s retirement season is based on the last year on their card.

If it is 1995, that player will play season 1 to 5.

I have been wondering about the reason trading draft picks is not allowed. Is it just the bookkeeping required or the confusion it may cause?

It seems to me that being able to throw a first or second round pick into a trade to sweeten the pot might just make the deal attractive enough to make it happen. I know a first round pick in the '96 draft (Pedro's rookie year) would make me think twice.

I'm not complaining, just curious. Maybe it is something obvious I just have not thought of.

Thanks,

Jim

Subject : Trading draft pick, we will discuss it once the auto-draft is done, before the season starts... (vote)
