The Moose would never change rules in midstream having said that they were some great suggestions on how to make the playoffs more equitable for next year Btw Mastermosser is a prime example of how one good playoff run can skew placements 5 mediocre teams out of 6 yet he still managed to squeak into the playoffs
1 League 16 Small Ball Wonders 83-79 86
2 League 9 Small Ball Wonders 77-85 77
3 League 12 Small Ball Wonders 78-84 78
4 League 1 Small Ball Wonders 79-83 79
5 League 7 Small Ball Wonders 73-89 73
6 League 9 Small Ball Wonders 105-57 *120

Good lord, that record makes the playoffs? And we're still talking about expansion beyond 3x24?

Now that event 6 playoffs have concluded, I will be doing all the calculations to get all of the tied players tiebreakers sorted out - and then get the semi-finals underway. I haven't even read the 2 most recent pages of this thread so I have some catching up to do - but the semi-finals is of a higher importance.

I will also be starting a thread to get the voting started for the Top 9 to choose CAP and draft position.

I've posted a thread of playoff participants - sorted after the tiebreakers have been calculated - the alternates are at the bottom.

I will be requesting that SOM post the earned bonus credit for all of the Top 81. Don't expect to get that until at least Monday. I have created the Semi-Final leagues, but I will wait to send out the invites until SOM confirms posting the credits. That way you all have the credit and you all have lost your excuse that waaaaaah - I don't have a credit.

I've decided I will put the players into the three leagues the way most of you wanted - but I won't be seeding the divisions. Too much work and I don't think it will really affect anything. Not with 24 teams in each league. All of the events were randomized so let's just stick with that. Too much work for too little payoff.

Leagues this way as seen in page 1 of this thread.

Semi League 1 - 10-13-16-19-22
Semi League 2 - 11-14-17-20-23
Semi League 3 - 12-15-18-21-24 - and so on and so on to 24 in each of 3 leagues.

And by the way, this decision does not violate "the rules" and I am not "changing the rules" It was never specified how the 72 semi-finalists would be dispersed among the 3 leagues. The way I was doing it just seemed "right" to me. But I can be convinced otherwise from time to time. ;)

Feel free to continue to debate the format and possible changes to the 2022 Tour. But please keep in mind that I lean towards small changes keeping the Barnstormers Core intact. But anything that a LOT of people agree on and that can be approved of by the Board stand a chance.

As one of the people who raised concerns about "changing the rules", I have no problem with the way the semi finalists are being placed into the 3 SF leagues. For one, it does not impact me much, as I was in the middle of the pack and two, it makes sense.

I was more concerned about the proposed change of carrying over the points from the regular season to the semi finals, as that would have a greater impact on everyone. A change like that should be agreed upon before the tour starts.

This makes the seeds uneven though. Even, serpentine seeding would look like

10 15 16 21 22
11 14 17 20 23
12 13 18 19 24

and so on.

(No it does not matter whatsoever.)

(Except the seeding you posted makes me physically queasy, truly a sin against god.)

(Yes I am just this neurotic, just be glad you don't have to live inside my head.)

happened in the mystery tournament this year, so why would I not be surprised "they" fuck this up to

im done with this strat brat bullshit, the few of you keep driving away the rest of us. what happened in the mystery tournament this year, where the rules were absolutely bent/changed DURING final voting so Frankie can get his way absolutely pissed me off.

im out, who cares

Not sure why I got dragged into your unhinged rant. Which was about a fantasy because nothing here was affecting this year.
Read my last post. Or any.
Then even if you were referring to this year, also consider I gain nothing. Im in the finals with a bye.
And never played mystery. So calm down—its online basebal dude.

Who "proposed" this ? I don't recall any such information and it's not going to happen.

Serpentine seeding within the three leagues ? Sigh..... Do you really think this will have any kind of an effect?
