As an example; last season the Royals, Angels and Brewers were not chosen. Therefore players such as Brett, Trout and Yount among others could be chosen as a free agent. Players like Grich and Greinke would not be eligible because they have a second card with other franchises.
At this point neither the Mariners nor the Blue Jays are taken. If they remain unpicked, would John Olerud, for example, be available as a Free Agent? He has cards for multiple franchises, but neither one would have been selected.
