Couple of notable facts about the Fremens (sorry but for me, this was a unique campaign statistically speaking and yeah, I know why, but still, pretty amazing):
- First, collectively: 128 - 34 + 660 Never done that ! Padre with an epic season in second place at 108 wins, 20 games back , what !?
- My MVP, Byron Buxton, who's know for his injuries risks and has a ''2'' rating had a league leading 679 ABs. He beat Hack Wilson with 198 RBI with 88 Moon Shots !!! In a way, I drafted him as my concession player because of his potential and the fact that he's not so old (unlike DeGrom);
- Tim Locastro; out of nowhere hit 55 HRs, 127 RBI, with a 1.070 OPS All this at only 6.58M
- A 1B/Dh trio (because of Moreland 8R and Dom Smith injuries: 2 times 15 games with a 1 rating and more):
Rhys Hoskins, Mitch Moreland and Dom Smith hit together in these 2 roles a combined: 110 HRs and 335 RBI;
- D.J. Lemahieu (.367, 133 RBI) and J.Iglesias (.361) competed all season long with Dom Smith and A. Kirk for the batting title
- Of these 434 HRs, 7 players hit 30 HRs or more, 5 player hit 40 HRs or more and 4 hit 50 HRs or more. Honorable mention to my 2.00 M$ Third baseman Nolan Arenado who hit 28 HR, 6 players at 100 RBI and more.
- 3 SP at 20 wins or more including a lately traded Ryu at 25 ! DeGrom did really well too but my 4th starter, Kyle Cody impressed at 18-4 / 2,98 / 1,23 Really impressed by Tanner Houck season as well for Padre
I think that Wil Myers and Higashioka could do even better in the next season and that Buxton will cool down a bit.
I could have go on with other pitching stats or collective stats like this .965 OPS but hey, I know this was an anormal setting. Just wanted to leave some kind of trace of this incredible season that I had the pleasure to monitor in the play by play each night with the same excitement.
