Question, as this is my first true Keeper League. We keep all the players on our current roster as of the end of the season we just completed, except for the .75 players, correct? As we move into the draft of players now eligible beginning in 2001, do we have to officially drop player or players as we make our draft selections, to stay under the salary cap? Which would then make those dropped players eligible to be drafted by others?

And remind me, is it just a 2 round draft, with any other acquisitions being made in the Auto Draft?

You CAN keep all of your players from the end of last season (assuming they're still eligible, which I think they all are for 2001). You can decide which ones you're going to keep. No one can autodraft a player that was on someone's roster at the end of the season (except .75 players) - unless they've traded for the player.

You DO NOT need to declare which players you're keeping or dropping. Just decide who to keep and put them on your autodraft list. The players you're not keeping will end up as free agents (or may end up on someone's team through the autodraft process - luck of the draw). The players you don't keep will then be eligible for the waiver draft.

It is only a 2 round draft. Undrafted players will be available to all teams in the autodraft.

Thanks for the good questions brifas, as I'm sure others could use clarification.

Other questions anyone?

Another point - if you've decided not to keep a player from your 2000 roster, you can offer them for trade (for someone else's player(s) or a draft pick). This would have to happen before the autodraft - after the autodraft you only maintain rights to a player if they're on your roster.

For example, now that I have Giambi, I won't be keeping Brad Fulmer. So if anyone wants Fulmer, let me know and we can make a deal.

In case of a discrepancy between my list and the player's card, the card will determine eligibility. (Double-check the card before drafting a player). I'm hoping there aren't more errors.

I'm willing to trade my 1st round pick for a top level C or MI.

I've pm'd Fench and emailed him in multiple leagues. Hopefully he picks by morning.
