Service time has no relevance in free agency bidding. The only minimums are the ones that govern the length of the contract being offered. The 3 year offer on Baez must have a minimum bid of 2,000,000 per year.

I'm a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, so I know suffering. What happened tonight was not just cruel, it was the most maliciously vicious act of the sports gods in the history of sports. I'm not sure how Buffalo has so offended the sports gods, but their cruelty knows no bounds. I'm gutted. And this from a guy who still has nightmares about wide right.

Yup I think 13 seconds will be joining wide right in Buffalo sports infamy. I know your pain. No secret that hockey is in the blood of us Canadians. As a diehard Leafs fan, it's been 54 years and counting since our last cup. Then again, at least I'm old enough to remember when they were winning titles. I guess even us Leaf fans must acknowledge that our frustration and disappointment does not rise to the level of you Bills fans.
