Their winning % and accolades are primarily in the 70's and 80's and 90's MYSTERY games, right? It's like trying to compare great hitters to great pitchers and saying one is the better than the other or more critical to their team's success.
NONE of those 3 can compare with Bruce and other greats that play ATG when discussing here on the ATG Discussion Forum.
Agree completely. I think it is also legitimate to question the timing and intent of the original post. I'm not implying there should be any prevention of open discourse--everyone has an equal chance to share what they wish.
But I think a reasonable person could also conclude that the original post only was made because of TLDs passing as a way to challenge the collective... epitaph, in a sense... being publicly written on the boards.
Further--let me say, to Brad's point too (who is an extremely accomplished manager here and could lay claim to being acknowledged for his "greatness")--there is ample evidence that Druid always sought out the best competition. In fact he targeted them--whether it was Nev, Frank Bailey, Brad, Matt, or more recently Bill, Max Power/Austin, etc.left many out no offense.
He ran toward the best to challenge himself by challenging them.
