They do this to the pre-1900 guys and even later, a lot. Guess SOM figured, because caught stealing stats aren't available, they'd take a risk averse approach or whatever, applying this approach rather uniformly across the board, even for the high steal guys then. Hard to know their stolen base percentages in a historical sense.

AAA and AAA and A don't matter, it's all in the secondary numbers of (i.e., 19-12 and so forth) that truly matter.
