There are some other old heads that have been round here for, shit, 2 decades now. Back in the day, this game originated on The Sporting News' website. After a few years, they quite literally hired someone to code, and work on the game, on a daily basis. His name was Bernie. And on me mothers grave, I can remember it posted at some point that, indeed, a momentum kill switch was flipped on, and home field advantage too.
I cant be the only one left that remembers this. Now, when the game was picked back up by SOM, did they just port the game engine back as Bernie built it? Were these changes Bernie made ever written out of the code? I dunno. But swears, this, was a real thing at one time.
