FUTILITY RECORD !!!

PostSat Feb 12, 2022 5:38 pm

We are playing a 24 team Memorial League to honor the Druid...

42 games in my team has the worst record I've ever seen since I started Strat...

8-34... I haven't won a series yet... 8-34... look at the East graph...

All in all my offense (lol) has been held to 2 runs or less in 24 of those 42 games... :o

126 runs in 42 games... exactly 3 runs/game...

It has become a morning joke while sipping my coffee...

Fortunately... my pitchers have the 9th best team ERA in the league... gotta find comfort somewhere...

Have you ever encountered such mediocrity...

Came close. Suffered a 8-33 stretch during a season. Finished 75-87.

I just experienced a most unbelievable, unimaginable, inconceivable, unconscionable end to a season.
I was 79-44 at my high water mark, 35 games above .500, running away with the division and well ahead
in any wild-card scenario. In the final 39 games I was 10-29, losing the division, but still had a chance at
a wild card spot with a two game lead over the next closest, a team in my division with whom I faced in
the last series. All I had to do is win one stinking game. Thank you so freaking much HAL - my team was
swept and I lost a playoff spot with a 89-73 record. I was cussing a blue streak like Ralphie's dad, Darren
McGavin, in Christmas Story. That's my story.

Thought I would give you a follow up...

I'm still in last place overall... 33-60...

I'm 24-24 at home in Comiskey...

9-36 on the road... 9-36... playing .200 ball... YIKES !!!

How can you be 24-24 at home and 9-36 on the road...

I'm at a loss for words... I tried everything... Nothing works... It's absolutely crazy... I've never seen anything like this...

Out of 15 series on the road... I've been swept 6 times, lost 8 series 1-2... and won ONCE 2-1...

This has become a real joke...

I still love how it took you 21 games to actually appear on the bar graph. :D

Can't say as I've ever seen that... :P

Epic. Anyone who can roll in a nod to Christmas Story in a strat forum is OK by me.

And how I disappeared again from games 40 to 43...

Houdini would be jealous...
