I think we had a thread on the franchise rule, and anyone who hasn't designated someone yet is able to do so now. We did that since only one owner placed a tag on, and most of us didn't understand the need to place one on immediately after drafting.

Once established, only after a prospect draft can a new franchise be applied (e.g., franchise gets carded and needs to be promoted; franchise tag is vacant during FA and Prospect drafts; franchise is applied to new franchise player). Reading the rule, it looks like the franchise doesn't need to be put on a newly drafted prospect.

As such, I'm going to franchise Adley Rutschman (p '20).
