So I guess the general increasing of roster size isn't something I'd be in favor of, think a lot of us have put in some strategy and long-term planning to accomodate the existing rules. I'm talking more specifically about the un-planned variables, allowing a little bit of give for it. For whoever has Nick Anderson in this league maybe they should be able to hang on to a guy like that without penalty while he's on the mend. Not to far different from what we did with the COVID spot last year.
So, to box it in a little for discussion, I'd propose the following Rule Addition (Effective in the next year's draft/league):
Roster Size
5) Each team may have one DL spot that does not count against either the player maximum roster size or keeper limits. Such player must have been A) Previously drafted by the team in question, B) have been carded in the year previous, and C) not be carded in the current set due to reasons of injury. Specifically barred from utilization of this slot are any players who are not carded due to MLB suspensions relating to off-field or on-field conduct.
