In 1968 there were 5 games where he did not make at least 6 innings, there were also 4 games where he went exactly 6 so in 9 of his starts in 1968 he did not come out for the 7th inning. He is an upper tier S8 averaged 7.5 innings per start
Mickey Lolich did not go beyond 6 innings in 11 of his starts in 1973. He averaged 7.5 innings per start, he is not an S9.
In 1971 Mickey Lolich did not go beyond 6 innings in 4 of his starts that year he is an F9 he averaged 8.4 innings per start.
1910 Ed Walsh had 2 games that he started where he did not go at least 6 innings. He is an S9 he relieved between several games. He came in a reliever in 7 games
1974 Fergie Jenkins had started 3 games where he did not go at least 6 innings there was not a single instance where he took himself out after pitching six innings- he is an S9 he averaged 8 innings per start.

1973 Mickey Lolich is not an S9.
On Seaver, I was asking about 1969...........not 1968. In 1969 he had four starts of six or less innings (one RP of 1/3), but every other game was over seven innings, with 18 CG's and 17 games of 9 or more innings. 24/35 were over 8 IP.
