Not sure you realize what I shared which is: your method doesn’t eliminate “extreme cards” no matter how one defines extreme” which of course depends on each person’s subjective opinion.
slugging and ERA has no direct translation to a card.
it is actually quite easier to not have to worry about your opponents if everyone is in the same stadium group.
Limiting players simply increases the importance of the draft, which if an autodraft it is less skill than a live draft with a full pool of players.
like i said, carrying this to its conclusion would be everyone has a 10/10/10/10 stadium. you say that makes it harder.
In my 20 years here, it would make it easier since I dont have to worry about austin or hack or bill playing in shea, for instance. much easier to make player decisions if i only have to worry about a narrow slice if parks.
nothing wrong with any of that. I am simply saying your method for removing extreme cards—whatever those are—will not be accomplished as stated. a card can be extreme with a 2.85 Era or a .500 slugging percentage.
You are making this way more complex than my intentions. I merely wanted a fun league with a different player pool, and smaller, than the norm with park oddities taken out. Not really trying to prove anything. I have played the board game and CD rom version for multiple decades in addition to a few shots here online. Just wanted to to try something different. Not really trying to prove anything.
Don't get hung up on my term "extreme", as I really was just trying to take out the real superstar years and eliminate the cheapy options and see what that did. I understand the nuances of the game, but really not trying to do that here. You have put way more thought into this than I did or wanted to,
