Negative Cash Balance after Auto Draft

PostTue Apr 12, 2022 7:08 pm

How does this work for waivers and in free agency?

When you exchange a player, do you have to make sure you are at least at zero to effectuate the acquisition?

For example, if you are negative $1 million, and you want a player whose salary is $1 million, you have to exchange/trade a player with a $2 million-plus salary? Thanks.

Sometimes---if you are quick enough, you can contact the help desk and get them to swap a player to correct the problem before waivers---this typically only happens in 24 team leagues with a limited sized player pool, or very low salaried leagues.

It does penalize you in waivers for sure--and in the drop/adds you still have to meet salary requirements if you drop a guy.

The only way to keep the cash value is stand pat--and then listen to others in the league grumble about it.
