Kevin. I WROTE the rules. The 1-4-7-10 is only the initial season. Jeeze I ran this league for 10 years at least. I think I remember the rules I wrote and enforced.
Every time I read this I still find it hard to follow. Even if I know what it intended to say. I read "initial" as Season 1 of each season, based on cumulative records from prior season, 1-4-7-10.
2) Divisional assignments will change each season. The format is this: a) initial divisional assignments will be follow the general 1-4-7-10 East, 2-5-8-11 Central and 3-6-9-12 West.
3) Cumulative team records will determine the divisional assignments for Season 1 of each new year.
INITIAL season means the first, LITERALLY the very first season played ONLY, not the first per card season. AGAIN I wrote the rules I know what they mean/intend. The ONLY season that division assignment was to be based on 1,4 etc. was the very first season of the league at its creation. Every subsequent season divisions are determined by either the Cumulative records of teams for the prior card season for season one of each card set; or the record of season one to determine season two. This is to ensure the divisions get scrambled as much as possible every season to ensure at least 2 different playoff teams every season.
If it’s confusing I apologize but please take me at my word as the guy who wrote the rules and formed the league, the intent by saying initial was for only the very first season. I should have used inaugural in the language I suppose, but please trust I know what the rules are trying to say as I wrote them.
