I know you want a longer answer. You deserve that, probably, but you didn't just get an "L" out of knowwhere. Your opponent benefited with a victory also. And you can't just go through and swap the BP 1-20's and say, "see, I would have scored X many more runs" ... because every result changes after that first one.

Bottom of the first, Daniels flies out, should have been a HR to put you on top 3-1. But then Aikens K's on a 3-10 roll and there are only 2 outs. Now the next result (6-6 on the dice) doesn't go to Ellis for the first out of the inning, but to Ward, your batter. Every roll of the dice subsequent to the error would have been impacted by the first correction. It is oversimplistic to merely assert: if this error didn't exist, the outcome would have been different.

Maybe it would be, maybe it wouldn't be. I'm not taking the time to go through your entire game figuring it out by checking results by the cards as they would have been altered.

Beg to differ on that one. If a team of mine (or anyone else's) missed the playoffs or lost a playoff series because of Strat's issue, while I wouldn't expect them to reverse the results, I do believe the "wronged" party deserves a free credit.

Nah, let it go, I'm going to. I'm just a grumpy old man who got up on the wrong side of the bed. If someone told me the sky was blue right now, I'd probably try to argue that too. :lol:

I think that's the least they can do. From what the "old timers" are saying, back in the "Bernie days", a free credit would have already been awarded to everyone effected.

The reality is that ALL of us were impacted. Every. single. game. At least on Saturday/Sunday (and I happen to think as far back as last Thursday, but can't prove it). They could probably comp EVERYONE a credit or two; but for as many wronged parties as there were, there were also accidental beneficiaries, which is my point.

From a customer service standpoint, SOM should do something more than "ooops, oh well." But as far as drilling down to specific games and events and trying to claim that this coding error is directly responsible for a win or loss, there are too many variables to make that claim in my opinion.

The least that SOM could do is offer every active owner a free credit or two by way of apology; but I don't see any mechanism for them to discern which of us are deserving and which of us are not.

well thought out observations. my only caution is that some owners were involved in pennant races and/or barnstormer races where each win and point could make the difference between making the playoffs or not. Given how much effort/time/funds it takes to put a team together, and take it through a season, one free credit may not exactly fill the bill....

We bitched and moaned relentlessly about this too....but fell on deaf ears...secret sauce is what they said...said They'd NEVER show it....If you guys knew how far we've come...how hard we fought...for things as simple as "the rules in effect" (the wiki page) you'd realize, how they truly do about as little as possible for us...without outrage from us.
