Even though the Invite Codes are shared here publicly, only the tournament participants listed above are to join the league. If anyone else joins they will be removed from the league. Be sure to join your league before Tuesday May 31st or else you are risking losing your spot in the semi-finals. Once you join your league, be sure to set your team as "Ready for Draft" once your draft list is set. Closers can set as ready once all 12 correct teams have joined the league. You don't have to be the last to set as ready, just don't set until all 12 are in.

Are the divisions random (i.e. could the top 4 teams all be in the same division) or will there be some sort of intention in building them out (snake style, for example)?

Good question jaywalker72 - I specified set divisions for the finals but not the semi-finals, so it will be random this time.

I would assume random. Also, a snake style setup in which allocation by division would be:

1-2-3-3-2-1-1-2-3-3-2-1 places three of the top seven in one division, with team 12.
Division East: 1,6,7,12
Division Cental: 2,5,8,11
Division West: 3,4,9,10

Division Central (2) is fairly balanced, but the others seem top-heavy - at least in relation to the competition.

But then, if you got his far........Everybody is a quality opponent.

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me.
A firm believer in do not hope for certain opponents.
The NHL playoffs taught me that.

The divisions for the semi-finals round will be random. Separating the teams into two separate leagues evenly based on standings was enough of a "fairness" measure for this round.

League 2 has 11 in. The only player missing is two-time Mystery Tournament champ Pushpin.

Absolutely agree, well sort of, Yeah Ok agree.
While we wait out the final two crunching their numbers/psyching us out by making me re-do my draft list 20 times...here are some of my musings.

Making the 24 is an accomplishment and there are only very strong managers left (and some very strong managers that didn't quite make it) so it will be hard to progress further regardless, but there seems to be very hard paths and ridiculously hard paths! To help me justify my Eeyore outlook that I always end up in the toughest division (numbers back me up for the 60's - 80's but not so much after...so there goes the "always"), here are some fun and interesting stats.

-Semi Final league 1 players collectively have played the 80's game 610 times while SF2 has played it 179 times.
-SF1 players have made their league playoffs 58% of the time in the 80's and won 111 championships to SF2's 49% semi-final rate and 31 championships.
-franky35 has the most 80's experience of SF2 participants, while 5 SF1 participants have played more than franky, and 4 have more championships...take a guess who the manager is that has played more but won less
-SF1 holdout AdamKatz has won 41 80's titles (yes, SF League 2 has 31 combined)...editor's note: there is nobody more capable of moving from 24th into the final 12 than AdamKatz in the 80's.
-Almost lastly, the snake style division distribution mentioned would have had 1, 6, 7 and 12 together in the East...that would have had yours truly in a division with gritch (makes the semi's in 73% of his 80's leagues and wins 27%), AdamKatz (75% and 28%) and taxchiefs who won 105 games in his 80's league for this tourney

Lastly, all of the above is just for fun. We all get $80m and a random assortment of cards, so good luck to you all.
