Every season is different as we keep walking through the ATG card set in different fun patterns.

As one of our GMs says “I use players I would NEVER use otherwise. The restrictions on at bats and innings pitched essentially gets rid of the "ringer" cards that played very little in real life but have a great card. Each season is with a different subset of players to pick from, and a new challenge to face. We have a great group of managers!”

HITTERS - All hitters with a green injury rating card are unlimited on usage... All other hitter cards are 120% of real life card AT BATS (not plate appearances).

PITCHERS: - All pitcher cards are 120% max of real life card year innings.

If you enjoy managing your team every day, this is a great league to be in. If you are a "set-it-and-forget-it" guy, it won't be for you.

I've been in this league since the beginning, and I enjoy managing and tracking my teams, in a large part because I use players I would NEVER use otherwise. The restrictions on at bats and innings pitched essentially gets rid of the "ringer" cards that played very little IRL but have a great card. Each season is with a different subset of players to pick from, and a new challenge to face. We have a great group of managers and Chris keeps us in line (or tries to!).

This is a challenging and satisfying and league to be a part of and I highly recommend it! -Matt

Our newest series is called “Smurf Decades”.

It’s very different and is very challenging.

Still 12 gms. $76M cap. But, here’s the “rub”:

Each of our 12 GMs, each season, You will have a decade of cards all to yourself each season of 12 straight seasons.

The decade you have for each season, that decade will be exclusive to you each season.

In other words …in “Decades” you (replacing a GM) will start with 1980-1989 cards all to yourself.
Then the next season you would have 1990-1999 cards all to yourself. And so on.
For 12 seasons each gm will rotate through all the 12 decades of ATG cards…

1900-1909
1910-1919
1920-1929
1930-1939
1940-1949
1950-1959
1960-1969
1970-1979
1980-1989
1990-1999
2000-2009
2010-2019

The 12 gms will each use a decade of cards each season ranging from 1900-1909 all the way up to and including 2010-2019.

You will play 12 seasons. Each season having a decade of cards all to yourself for that season. All 12 GMs will rotate through all “12 decade sets”.

Of course. We still have tight usage rules as well. No “Gates Brown type cards” getting ridiculously overused in SMURF!

It’s going to be a great challenge managing your roster and decade of cards each season against the other GMs and their decades of cards. A lot of fun!
