Congrats to all the playoff teams!! As anticipated, the West ended up with 2 teams, and Gumby and Jeep did what was needed!

Catch you all on 60.

Well, we managed a split despite my brain fart that started Profar instead of Tuckers. What a dumb a**.

Ugh. At least we lucked into one win. The worst thing is that we lost D'arnaud through game 5 facing all lhsp. Hoping Narvaez gets REALLY lucky.

Once again lucky to get one. A three game series now. Semper hit 5 of 6 1-12 bphrs in the two games. We didn't roll a single bphr chance. As I said, lucky to get one given those die rolls. Got shellacked in game 4.

Meanwhile Jeep will be well rested after sweeping Milleram.

Rodon has been MONEY against Semper in the playoffs 14 IP, 4 hits, 2 walks, 0 runs.

Antone pitched 2 innings in game 5, not sure if he's available for game 6?

Need one more....

On to game 7. Hal brings in Bard to face Bogaerts with a runner on in the 9th instead of King. He managed to get him, but Walls hits a 2b off of Bard's card (not surprising). We lose in 11. :(

Oh well. I guess Antone wasn't available.

The hard luck kids saved up all their luck and spent it on taking the last piece of cake from Joe’s boys. After a series of close games, the whiffle bats were out and swinging. Good to see some offense for once against Joe’s well built team.

On to the finals - we are busting out the old game jerseys for a long awaited return to the World Series!

We'll never win another NLD. :( Every playoff we just suck.

10 hits over the last 2 games (20 innings) and we were facing Muller and Valdez, not degrom and buehler. What a bunch of chokers. Hit below the Mendoza line for the series. Not having D'arnaud for five games didn't help. Narvaez when 0-12 v LHP in the series.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. We've had the best record in the past four NLDs and made the playoffs five of six, got to the finals twice, but have ZERO rings to show for it. Haven't won a title since NLD42 (which was in 2015) Granted we didnt' make the playoffs from nld47 through nld 53, but.......

Oh well. C'est le SOM.

Good luck to you both. May the best team win!

Anyone else note the bit of irony about how the West division was touted as the strongest division all year long -- yet the finals teams are from the Central and East?

Well, five teams finished over .500 and three were from the west so.... Can you say "short series"?

No one seemed to notice, and I know no one cares, but I had two starting players hurt almost perpetually last quarter of the season--I had no infield in the playoffs. I had just as soon finished 8th as to go into playoffs with SS and 2B hurt.
