Strange

PostTue Jun 21, 2022 8:09 am

Got a game here where I think a glitch came up. I put in the replay and the box score.

Any how in the top of the 8th I came up, got an out, then a walk and then a homer for Clements. Then up comes Delahantly who Doubles and Childs then rolls a 4-7 which is a solid Double off Newcombe. 3 runs right? No 2. Then a walk and a strikeout which also appears to be 2 outs. Inning over.

The glitch appears to be the back to back doubles does not produce a run. I had only one cup of coffee this morning but I looked this over pretty good. I am confused. Any suggestions?

After Delehanty's double, the play by play shows baserunners as b-0. I think that means he was thrown out going to third.

Delahanty was thrown out trying to stretch his double into a triple:

E.Delahanty 1-7 Double (LF) b-0 F2

The "b-0" means batter out. Whereas on your next double, it says as it would typically, "b-2," or batter to second base.
