We are 10-11 days from event 4 right now, and event 3 has just filled--we are in catch up mode because we started tournament so late, and I agree it is a bit hectic, especially if you just want to play in other general auto-leagues.

I think it is obvious that starting tournament earlier gets more leagues as the interest in the newest set is still high--Starting in April would be even better and allow you to space events a bit more.

Starting tournament earlier could give a little more time for 1st event to get more teams in--at least an extra week, and you want as many managers as possible in the 1st event.

I went to look for Event 2 leagues and they were done already. I guess I am not used to the format and am used to being told to enter your team. Hey no big deal, you do things your way over here. I like the Events a month apart not 4 days. Gave it a shot.

Historically the Events have launched every 4 weeks or so. Event 1 would commence the 2nd half of April and Event 5 would do the same the 2nd half of August.

Last year Mr. BBW delayed the start of Event 1 until late May but Event 5 launched at the same time as in the past.
That timetable carried over to this year. So the schedule has been condensed the past 2 years but everyone who participates in the PC needs to be aware of the rules.

Well, with my Bananas are doing well in Event 3, Lg. 2.... I don't have much to complain about. Except I don't understand why HAL will let a pitcher bat in the bottom of the sixth inning (in this case Max Fried in Gm. 58) and then replace him with a relief pitcher in the top of the seventh! Why doesn't Hal use a pinch hitter if the pitcher is coming out of the game? I don't recall a single instance where a pinch hitter was used in the bottom of an inning for a pitcher who was going to be removed from the game in the top of the following inning. Has the happened to anyone else? Is this normal for HAL or is it a glitch? I would appreciate any feedback on this problem. Thanks, Lou

It happens all the time in noDH leagues, it is a glitch (or programming) that has never been fixed. Next set, with both leagues DH I guess we won't have to worry about it.

The AI obviously doesn't look at pitcher fatigue until the top of the inning--a related problem is HAL PHing in bottom of inning and not doing an obvious defensive sub in the top--assuming the PH is out of the game for some reason.

Just want everyone to know I am aware of the issue regarding points of the Filler teams specifically from Event 5 League 6. Hopefully Strat will get this fixed soon.
