It happened about 15 years ago, Jimmy Key started a season 22-0. Have no idea how he or the team finished, but I do remember it being a lot of fun to watch.

My fave individual player accomplishment was in the heydey of super relivers when Dale Murray set the ATG8 record for 43 reliever wins.

As a team, winning Barnstormers is #1

Your #2 is one of my bad moments. You erased my $80m 116 win team at the top.

I am taking the "...in SOM" to heart, so a couple of these are not All Time Greats.

The '70s game. Mike Piazza hits .402! He also managed to add 135 runs - 51 HRs - 159 RBIs. The completion was stiff so no MVP and no triple crown. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/382708

Back to the '80s. Bosio, Saberhagen, Drabek and Stieb each win at least 21 games. Team leads the league in CGs, Shutouts, ERA, WHIP and 107 wins. ATG. Ty Cobb stealing 100 bases while having a success ratio better than the league average. Achieved multiple times. Best season was 112 steals.

ATG. Pedro striking out 22 in a game. In a $235M league. Don't know how to find that game, so no link.

SOM. Any championship, since I only win one 21% of the time I make the playoffs. The competition is always tough. But I love the playing the game.

Years ago when I was a rookie I joined the Friday Night Live League and ended up in the same division with Petrosian and Nev. I knew my chances were slim trying to beat both of them so I tried to build a team to beat Nev by watching the picks he was making. The strategy worked, Petrosian won the division and I edged out Nev for the wild card. Petrosian lost in the first round and I lucked up and won the championship. I told both Petrosian and Nev how I approached the season and they both congratulated me on my championship however Nev told me never to do it again.

So three things come to mind:

1. My best team ever was in a novelty league ("Hitters Paradise") similar to Chicks DIg the Longball (main differences: 200m cap, 1.0m instead of .85 relievers and any stadium)

Won Championship, 108-54, but most noteworthy is the team had a +619 run differential (regular season)

2. My "Worst" team ever: Few months ago we tried a a novelty league where every one tried to lose. Managed to go 50 -112 then lost my semifinal round (by winning 4 games) to the one team that absolutely had my number.

3 My own special 100+ win game curse (which I guess is kind of my favorite/most hated SOM story)

I have not had a ton of 100+ win teams, 6 to be exact (not counting the 112 loss team above that is too weird to figure in). I have extraordinary good luck with those teams, winning 5 out of 6 championships. But it is the team that did not win a championship that haunts me:

The scene, 2019 Barnstormers. We have just finished the regular season of the Sixth event and on the strength of my 100 wins I am sitting on the bubble of making the top 9 for the finals. I am facing a team with a losing record in the Semi's (who admittedly I had only gone 6-6 with during the regular season). I feel pretty good about my chances. I am calculating who needs to win what to get past me. In the end I did not need to win the championship to make the Barnstormer Finals, I did not need to even make the league finals to make the Barnstormer finals. In the end, I needed to win 2 games in the Semi's to make the Barnstormer Finals.

I got swept.

Nev's belief that every player he drafts is his exclusively for perpetuity is funny. Years ago I put together this team in honor of him. I'm sure I stole a lot of players that he liked to draft.

Here are some of my favorites:

ERA (Pitcher, Season) - Pedro Martinez (1997), 1.25
RBI (Hitter, Game) - Dave Bancroft (1915), 13 - Mind you this was the $1.96 or whatever Bancroft.
Strikeouts (Pitcher, Season) - Bruce Sutter (1977), 468 - Back in the Super Reliever days of course.
Batting Avg. (Hitter, Season) - Ty Cobb (1912), 0.426

Of those Bancroft is the top one probably because it was so surprising.

Not ATG. But in the 2015 Season in Game 7 of the finals at home I had Jacob DeGrom throw a Perfect Game. Best I can do since SOM Archived the stats is the link below on the game. No Stats shown.

161 runs scored, 157 RBI's, and only 16 HR's. He also hit .422 for us that year. Lots of fun.
