Sure. Oversimplified, At $80 DH, it's 4 stud starters and no bullpen.

4SS method. :)

No need for bullpen acronym, that's understood by the prior ones.

TMOTM (pronounced tum-aught-um) stands for The Man On The Mound. A term I coined back around 1970 when asked how I picked winners in games.

Your threat title is misnamed. Its not "strikes again," it should be strikes always. Check out the Barnstormers standings and you'll see the leaders all employ this strategy. The geniuses that repriced the cards for ATG9 fixed the single player bargains, but built in a bias against relief pitchers so that (mostly) only this strategy works for $100M leagues and below. Oh and they totally under priced platoons as well. I imagine it was a math problem as Max Power likes to say where Batting Runs weighted by a fixed lefty-righty percentage was set proportional to cost. That's why lefty killers, to a large extent, and righty killers, to a smaller extent, are all under priced.

I've really enjoyed playing the '77 set where you can experiment with different types of teams and be competitive.

Thanks Steve and everyone who commented here on my question. I used to deploy this strategy when SOM first went online and only had $80M leagues back in 2001 with good success. I did not realize many managers were consistently winning with this strategy today. Perhaps I should rethink how I build my teams as I’ve not had much success these past 10 years or so :| ;)
