I Noticed

apparently when you have aggressive baserunning set Hal likes to have the runner on 2nd with 2 outs tag up for 3rd and no matter the speed is always thrown out whether you ahead or behind also

HAL's definition of aggressive and the human definition of aggressive are not quite in sync.

I'm in Royal's 80 and I up my baserunning to aggressive against noodle armed outfielders. HAL gets carried away and sometimes makes these noodle armed guys look like Ichiro.

Many of my teams are set to aggressive stats show they get thrown out about 50 times a year. Seems like they get thrown out 4 times a game. I wonder if HAL counts these plays that always seem to end innings

I never noticed that about getting thrown out at 3rd. Of course the Ranchers never made it to second base anyways.

happened to me again last night C 1-13 gets thrown out tagging from 2nd to third for the last out in a close game rarely ever see that in real life plus as I said earlier the runner is always thrown out!

Should be a base running setting for hitters, same as base stealing. I build lots of speed teams and try to get all 17's on the basebath except for catchers and set my team for VERY AGGRESSIVE base running.

Typically, get about an 80%+ success rate which makes it very worthwhile.

This team as an example took 246 extra bases over the course of the season and was only thrown out 43 times:

Compare that to this team that only took 90 extra bases all season:

That's literally an extra base a game taken and only 25 more thrown out. It's all about the speed.

If you wanna take extra bases, get 17's on the basepaths and you'll be fine.

I'd like to see a link to this. I can't remember ever seeing that play (I'm not saying it didn't happen, of course. Just peculiar)

my question is have you seen any difference using the Normal or Conservative setting? then if there is a significant difference, does it overcome the extra bases gained from the Aggressive setting minus the additional outs?

There's an old coach's saying ... NEVER make the last out on the basepaths ...
