PROPOSED RULE CHANGE FOR 2024:
I propose that beginning with the 2024 drafts, we have a 4-hour clock, 10AM-10PM on Saturdays & Sundays, in addition to the 2-hour clock 10AM-10PM Monday thru Friday.
I'd like to open it up for discussion and consideration.
My thoughts are this: It isn't that we are in a hurry to get our drafts completed, necessarily. It is a matter of being respectful of the other 11 managers time. With no clock on the weekend, I think there is a sense of obligation for some managers (like myself) to check in frequently, so that I am not holding up other people, causing them to have to constantly check to see if anyone has made a selection. With a 4-hour clock, it seems reasonable that most managers could glance at their phones every 4 hours to see if they have a message indicating a post has been made to the draft thread.
The other alternative is to have NO PICKS AT ALL over the weekends. I am not a proponent of this option at all. I for one have WAY MORE time during the weekend for Strat than I do during the week.
I have a full-time job, I travel for my work. I have a family, friends, a 94 year old parent who I'm primary care-giver for, and other things in my life, like everyone else. I just feel that if I'm going to commit to BEING IN a league, then I should BE IN IT.
Anyone else have thoughts? Thanks.
