Subsequent drafts preceding oncoming seasons will be by their nature be shorter and doubtless more fun. Drafting round after round of players devoid of reputation and significance to those (us) living more than a century later has been rather like preparing a guest list for an upcoming party using the phone book of a foreign country.
In the process I have smashed my already impressive record for drafting no longer available players, for that I apologize, but only half heartily. Early on, rather than researching and strategizing, I began considering the few familiar names listed (Wally Pipp, Miller Huggins etc ) . None can be found on my roster as they were inevitably selected just before my turn rolled around, leading me to conclude I was not alone in this strategy.
Next, I became attracted to the parade of players with funny names, as Bud Abbott said, 'like Dizzy and Daffy Dean." , and Costello replied, ' and their brother Buffet'. The list of players with such names is near endless. Noodles, Bubbles,Dummy, Togie, and Jiggs, members of the fauna such as Birdie, Rabbit, Hippo ,Possum,Ducky, and Buck We had Dutch and Germany, Happy and Doc even left the mine and Sherry ,Patsy, Doty , Ivy , Candy, Tilly and the Slim Chick all left behind The Rockford Peaches to join an ancient MLB
As I finish up here, I dread the almost certain likelihood that my "last" picks have been located on other rosters, I will regret this as Deal and Wares brings to mind a law firm possibly in the same building as Jacoby and Myers and just up the street from Scrooge & Marley

You would have gotten along well with "Old Aches and Pains".

Can someone post the remaining stadiums? I'm pretty sure I crossed one off that isn't actually gone.
