The AL/NL restriction is a shame. The 1884 STL Maroons also had Charlie Sweeney. We have an ATG card for him that year. My next choice would probably be 1926 Mule Suttles, also not eligible. I'll come up with someone.

Charlie Sweeney also pitched very effectively in the NL that season in over 200 innings for the Providence Grays.
