I'd like to pick, that's all.

The no clock rule was not intended as a way to hold a draft hostage while trying to work a trade, but as a way to make sure all owners know the draft has started. So I'd say, by letter of the rule you certainly don't need to pick, but your flouting the purpose of the rule. Besides, my poll would allow you to see who actually is interested you could focus your energies there and get a deal consummated.

On a somewhat related note, I’m in favour of a clock in all rounds including the 1st, albeit an extended one.
