Hey guys. Got some down time and just wanted to let you know what’s going on.
My mom went into cardiac arrest around noon on Tuesday while at home with my dad. She’ll soon be 78 and my dad is 84.
She was sick with cold/flu so he had already called an ambulance to take her to the hospital because she was having trouble breathing.
When she collapsed he started CPR right away and the ambulance was there within minutes.
My sister and I got to where they live about 3 hours later to be with them at the hospital and have been here since.
Wednesday morning she regained consciousness and when awake is able to communicate with hand signals or occasionally by writing and is completely aware of everything.
She’s quite often sleeping/sedated and is battling not only the heart stuff but her chronic bronchitis and the infection from the flu.
She needs the help of a breathing tube still so can’t talk. She’s got a long way to go to recover and things are basically hour to hour but we’ve got hope she’ll make it out of this yet.
Don’t mean to throw this all out there but finally felt like sharing.
I had told Sean and thanks to him for helping out with the league stuff.
I’m sure you all understand that Strat is down the list of priorities right now but also a nice distraction since I’m at the hospital for almost the entire day with obvious down time.

Prayers for your mom Ryan. Life is more important so don’t worry about Strat.

Go ahead. PLEASE throw it to us if you wish. That's a lot to deal with for you. Praying for speedy healing for Mom and peace and love for the rest (also for Mom) of you.

Glad to hear that things, while not assured, seem to be on a path of recovery. Best to you and your family, I'm happy she's getting the medical attention she needs and all will be well soon!
