"Senga and Yoshida have MLB experience so they are ineligible for the Prospect Draft. They've been playing for a couple of weeks now. The rule doesn't have the phrase, "prior to the current season". This issue also came up two or three years ago. At that time I suggested that if anyone wanted to add that language they could put it up for a vote, but no one did.

We'll start the draft over. Bill is up."

You're penalizing people that wrote in eligible players though? Why? My player is gone now. I did NOTHING wrong.

Because not all managers were on the same page as far as the reading of the rule, I thought it fair to start over once all managers were on the same page as far as the reading of the rule.

Let's vote on who is eligible to be drafted in our Prospect Draft for next year. Vote A or B. Since it's a clarification of a rule and not a change, the majority will decide. I'll sit out the vote.

The rule now states that players like Senga and Yoshida are ineligible to be drafted because they have played in the current (2023) season.

A. Only those players without MLB experience and who have been signed by a professional baseball organization are eligible for the prospect draft.

Senga and Yoshida would be eligible for the draft if you prefer this new rule:

B. Prospects are defined as any player that has a signed contract with an MLB organization that has no MLB experience prior to the start of the current MLB season. (Thanks to USKL 3 for the language)
