3) Prospects are defined as any player that has a signed contract with an MLB organization that has no MLB experience prior to the start of the current MLB season.

That's the new language from the vote we had recently. It takes effect next year.

When the prospect draft began on April 12, Bradley had not appeared in a MLB game. He could have been selected in the 1st round. It does not make sense and is counterintuitive to have a player who is eligible at the start of a draft not be eligible later in the draft. That makes no sense. Anyone eligible at the start of a draft should be eligible for the duration of that draft. He was draft eligible for the first pick, he should be eligible for the last pick!

I happen to agree. If he was available at the beginning, he should be eligible

(3) Only those players without MLB experience and who have been signed by a professional baseball organization are eligible for the prospect draft.

Read strictly, Bradley would be ineligible since he had experience when he was drafted. The old rule {above), which is the one we are drafting under, says nothing about when that experience occurs. But I can see your point also. I'll let the league know about this discussion. If no one objects to Bradley's selection, Brian can keep him. If anyone objects, we'll vote on Bradley's selection. Fair?

Let him have the pick

My only issue is I’m a little peeved that I missed him!

Wait a minute...So I get screwed out of getting Jackson Holliday due to this rule but you're telling me you're willing to take a league wide vote for someone else? And that's only if someone objects' first - thereby putting the focus on me? Where was this league wide vote for Bill and Terry's picks - and mine by extension for keeping my pick of Holliday? I say no thanks to Brian getting Bradley. IF there's a vote for Brian receiving Bradley and he is awarded Bradley then I'll stay on only if I get Holliday. My three picks would then be Holliday, Busch, and Endy Rodriguez.

If you prefer not to do this for me it's not a huge deal. I'm sure you'll find someone willing to pick up my team soon enough. It's a fun team to have for the particular ballpark this year. Probably not good enough to get into the playoffs but the home games should be entertaining!

I actually think you might be doing me a favor if you don't award me Holliday but do give Bradley to Brian. I really don't appreciate the preferential treatment.

Way to create a false equivalency Fred. These are obviously two different scenarios and no one is asking for preferential treatment. But I'll abdicate my legitimate pick in the name of harmony and pick someone else and I'm sure Bob will get the language cleaned up.

It's the same rule. The only difference is that Bill and Terry's picks would be the ones directly affected by a vote. Once approved I would keep Holliday as my pick to begin with.
